The Royal Greenwich Music Centre was established in order to provide young people across the borough with a top quality musical education and access to a wide range of exciting and rewarding musical activities.
Run by the Royal Greenwich Music Hub and hosted on Saturday mornings (term-time only) at Plumstead Manor School, the centre caters for students aged 8-18 who show exceptional musical promise and offers tuition on a wide range of instruments. With a strong emphasis on ensemble activities, RGMC aims to help children and young people develop their skills in tandem with their fellow musicians, building up strong social and artistic relationships along the way.
All activities at RGMC with the exception of the Junior department run between 9.30am and 12.30pm / The Junior department currently runs from 9.30am until 10.10am.
For those without their own instrument – RGMC runs a FREE instrument loan programme which ensures that students can practice away from the centre as well as participate during Saturday morning sessions.
